RSPB Nature of Scotland Awards

Hosted by TV presenter, writer and naturalist Kate Humble and BBC Scotland TV and radio presenter and wildlife expert Euan McIlwraith, the RSPB’s Nature of Scotland Awards were celebrated at a prestigious presentation dinner last week.  Co-sponsored by Scottish Natural Heritage, the awards celebrate and recognise the best of conservation in Scotland.

We were absolutely delighted to win the Community Initiative category!  Trustee, Mary Colvin accepted the award on behalf of everyone here at Ninewells Community Garden.  The garden is a sum of all those involved – every seed planted, bird fed or cup of tea shared by the fire counts, so thanks to everyone involved!

A huge congratulations to all the winners, shortlisted projects and to the highly commended Tiree Great Yellow Bumblebee Project and Water of Leith – 30 years.  It gladdens the heart to know there are such great projects out there.  You can read more about the awards here.
If you haven’t yet visited the garden, please do drop by and see for yourself!
